Draco Dormiere is born from the entirety of the Knights Bridge estate: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, gathered from its many blocks, soils, elevations, and aspects to reveal something deeper. Dark, layered, and quietly powerful, Draco Dormiere is an exploration of the estate in its most complete form. There is the wildness of the mountain, the tension of elevation, the ancient character of volcanic soil, and beneath it all, a sense of place that cannot be separated from the wine itself. Inky and deeply aromatic, the 2023 Draco Dormiere reveals layers of black cherry, blueberry, cassis, and pomegranate, accented by violets, lavender, licorice, and graphite. Full-bodied and remarkably poised, the palate is rich and velvety, framed by finely chiseled tannins and vibrant acidity. Deep mineral and savory notes add dimension and lift, carrying the wine to a seamless, persistent finish.
